Potsdamer Platz in 1963.  This photo shows the end of the streetcar line.  In the left background is a view of the end of the Brandenburg Gate.  Taken from the West Berlin side.

The front of this Catholic Church is just on the border.  Note the charm of the bricked up windows and the broken glass on top of the Wall.

An M-48 tank turns into Friedrichstrasse about a block from Checkpoint Charlie.  The German crowds loved it.  The woman in the left foreground has a portable tape recorder and is holding out the microphone to better catch the rumble of the tank treads on the cobblestones.
